This extended warranty covers the structural integrity of the fence line, including the post system, framework, and panel connections. We warrant that properly installed posts will not fail, or shift, and that panels and boards will remain secure and structurally sound, free from movement or failure caused by improper installation.
Cedar and pressure-treated lumber are natural materials. Variations in color, grain, and texture, as well as cracking, checking, shrinkage, warping, and fading, are normal and occur over time due to weather exposure. These natural characteristics are not considered defects and do not affect the structural integrity or intended function of the fence or deck. As such, they are not covered under warranty.
This warranty specifically excludes:
Warping, twisting, cracking, or other dimensional changes
Shrinkage or expansion
Surface checking, splitting, or natural wood movement
Color variation, fading, or weathering
Chips, dents, dings, or handling-related damage
Improper installation, site conditions, or soil movement
Fastener corrosion unless corrosion-resistant hardware is used
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, extreme
weather events (such as windstorms or fallen trees), or any alterations made after installation.
Pre-stained or customer-supplied materials are excluded from warranty coverage. Regular upkeep such as staining or sealing is the responsibility of the homeowner.
Optima Fence and Deck’s liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective workmanship or materials at its sole discretion. Warranty items do not delay final payment and will be addressed separately under warranty service.
